Monarch Justice Center | Napa County, CA (Hybrid)
Monarch Justice Center (MJC) is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Development Director to lead and grow our fundraising efforts in support of survivors across Napa County.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives on building meaningful partnerships, developing fundraising strategy, and turning vision into action. You’ll work closely with the Executive Director, Board, and team to strengthen our development infrastructure and expand community support.
About Monarch Justice Center
MJC is Napa County’s Family Justice Center, bringing together public and private partners to reduce the trauma survivors experience when navigating the criminal justice system. We provide coordinated, person-centered services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, child abuse, and elder abuse.
What You’ll Own
- Build and execute a clear, actionable fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities
- Create and actively manage a strong donor pipeline -- consistent outreach, follow-up, and stewardship are core to this role
- Lead all aspects of fundraising across individual giving, grants, events, and campaigns
- Drive grant strategy end-to-end, from identifying opportunities to overseeing proposals and maintaining funder relationships
- Strengthen and expand relationships with donors, funders, and community partners through regular engagement (meetings, tours, events)
- Improve and build development systems -- donor tracking, pipeline management, and overall structure
- Partner closely with the Executive Director and Board to expand networks and increase fundraising capacity
- Support and push forward Board involvement in fundraising in a practical, actionable way
